  • Can I operate the machines myself?

Yes, definitely. All the machines are easy to operate. On pickup of the equipment, a training session and training sheet for further reference is given to the hirer.

  • Some machines are very heavy, what surface is suitable?

The ice cream and slushie machines are very heavy, as an example, the 2-barrel slushie machine will weigh around 80kg's once full, we will not set up a machine on a surface that we think is unsafe as this is extremely dangerous, the machines are very expensive and can damage easily. All surfaces must be solid in nature and cannot have folding legs, for example we will not set up a slushie machine on a glass table or trestle style table, they are not rated to hold this weight. A solid table or kitchen bench are more suitable. we do also have a limited number of stainless-steel tables that we can include at no charge, please let us know at the time of booking as these will often get booked out early.

  • Can we add ice to the slushie machine to help it freeze quicker?

Absolutely not, we ask that you do not put anything inside the machine that we haven't supplied. Ice will damage the spinning blade which are $150 to replace.

  • Can we add our own product to a slushie machine, like Coke?

No, you must only use the syrups we have provided, a slushie machine works on supplying the right mixture of sugar and water to stop the machine from over freezing, having the wrong mixing ratio will also damage the machine, gearbox and spinning blade which are all very expensive to replace or repair.
